Gori
Gori was the third city after Tbilisi and Batumi to host session of EYP Georgia. And, of course, it was as unique as the most of other EYP events.
Gori Active Youth Forum introduced its own mascot – Gorzilla (mix of Gori, Godzilla and Gorilla). It was accompanied a bit by memories of 2008 and Stalin spirit, but next time EYP-ers won’t have an opportunity to play Alele Kitaponga near Stalin’s monument as it is removed from city center.
Two Tornikes as head-organizers guaranteed plenty of food, wonderful venues (like Gori castle and Ateni Sioni church), comfortable accommodation and appropriate conditions for Committee work and General Assembly.
It was debut of Transport & Tourism and FEMM committees. Tamar Khvisiashvili joined Board members George Tabagari and Oto Berishvili for the first time. Editor Sandro Jupalakiani and journalist Shorena Shavadze presented incredible videos of the session and 16-pages newspaper with many interesting gossips and committee topics.
The FLEX Alumni Grants Program provided support for Forum. And of course don’t forget the motto of the forum –“Learning for a progressive change”.
